(27th October 2024 Sunday YMCA Hawker, Lower Ham Road, Kingston upon Thames KT2 5BH) Easy to book and great pre-event communication to ensure we all knew what to expect (two way, I had to do my bit too!). They arrived on time and completed set up and sound checks then played sets. Very friendly bunch with lovely caller too. Made the event fun for everyone from youngsters to oldies like me! They packed away and left promptly at the end. I paid half when booking and the remainder was due a month in advance of the party (I think). I paid it before because I wanted it done. Botany Bay Farm hosted the traditional Gaelic social event with live music, dancing and a raffle (6th July 2024 Saturday Botany Bay Farm, 230 The Ridgeway, Botany Bay, Enfield EN2 8AP)

A traditional Gaelic social gathering at an Enfield farm’s barn has helped raise hundreds of pounds for a local cancer charity.

Botany Bay Farm hosted the cèilidh earlier this month, featuring live music from Irish folk band Wraggle Taggle, traditional dancing, a raffle with prizes donated by local firms, and a hog roast.
The event was hosted by local farmers, Mick Keeble and daughter Vickie, and was a sell out. It was organised with help from the Rotary clubs of Enfield and Little Green Dragon pub, which served beer throughout the evening.

The total funds raised was £1,486.93. Lucy McGinn, from Nightingale, said it was “a great effort by all at the Botany Bay Farm team”. Enfield Dispatch 19th July 2024

They were brilliant at accepting song requests, and made sure that everyone had a really wonderful evening.  I would highly recommend them. Wraggle Taggle came to play at our Barn Dance fundraiser in our local village hall (13th November 2021 Saturday Long Ditton Village Hall, 2 Ewell Rd, Surbiton, Surrey, KT6 5LE). Mick and the band arrived on time and were quickly set up and ready to go with some warm up music while the guests arrived. The music from the band was so catchy that the dance floor was filled all night. Margaret, the caller, did a fantastic job organising all the dancers and patiently coaching everyone through the moves. The whole night was such a joyous occasion with so many happy smiling faces, from the youngest to the oldest. We loved the music and the dancing and wondered if its the same Wraggle Taggle Ceilidh band that played at our wedding over two decades ago!! The date was 23rd September 2000 in Ditchling Town Hall, near Brighton. The wedding party consisted of Scottish and Indian families . . .

The caller was a distinct Scottish man in a kilt and you would be better placed to recognize the musicians on the stage.

You'll be delighted to know that the music is the single thing that our families and friends rave about even today, all these years on. It was quite a sight to see sari clad women and kilted men dancing to Gay Gordons. The music was beautiful.

Wraggle Taggle were Superb! They travelled to Oxfordshire to play at our Covid wedding and made the reception! (5th September 2020 Beevis Farm, Woodstock Road, Charlbury, Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, OX7) With limited guests allowed we were worried the day would fade out but Wraggletaggle brought everyone to the dancefloor.
